Copeland’s $ 600,000 renovations marks a
new direction in the Marina’ operations

As a result of the $600,000 investment by Al Copeland Investments (ACI), Mariner’s Village Marina which is being renamed Lake Pontchartrain Harbor Marina has begun its transformation into a premier Northshore destination. Lake Pontchartrain Harbor Marina at 225 Antibes St., West, Mandeville, Louisiana is conveniently located 200 yards east of the Causeway with immediate proximity to the lake. The new docks can accommodate boats up to 70 ft. in length and the marina offers gas, diesel, ice, water, electricity, pump out, trash pick up, and 24 hour live security. To date, ACI has fully reconstructed almost half of the 170 boat slips, rebuilt partial shoreline and dredged the channel to Lake Pontchartrain, which experienced severe damage during Hurricane Katrina. As restorations continue, ACI recently appointed Frank Hijuelos to serve as Marina Manager. Hijuelos will lead the construction efforts and ongoing facility improvements to the 15-acre site as well as serve as Harbor Master.

We are pleased to see the changes already taking place and remain committed to the marina’s restoration,” stated Al Copeland Jr., Chairman of the Board of Al Copeland Investments. “Frank brings years of experience reinvigorating large-scale public facilities and we are confident that he will do an exceptional job as we continue to make improvements to this site.”
